Number 7 Bus Service is Changing

Leicestershire County Council are proposing to replace the number 7 bus service with Demand Responsive Transport, which is a form of pre-booked transport using small vehicles such as taxis or mini buses.

The services will run when booked, based on an approximate timetable and you will need to book your seat at least a day before you travel.

Leicestershire County Council needs to make savings over the next four years.  The present number 7 bus service is not being fully used and costs the County Council over £140,000 in subsidies.

Villages affected include several in our parish and residents are being urged to complete the consultation form which can be found by visiting www.leics.gov.uk/transportconsultation. Hard copies are also available on notice-boards in Sheepy, All Saints Church, Sheepy Shack and on the number 7 bus itself.
