Minutes of Committee Meeting, Tuesday 22nd November 2011

 

Present: Anji Forsyth, Lynne Percival,  Eileen Baker Rachel Bunney, Oz Hall Julie Dixon, Maurice Percival,

 Brenda Bricknell

Apologies: Dorrien Moody, Ron Phillips, Jenny Simmons, Kevin Morell

Minutes of previous meeting: Were agreed as a true and accurate record

Matters Arising:6month booking for Pilates class Monday pm and Tuesday am

Parish council to be invoiced for £361.20 (photocopying at £11.20 & room hire at £350)  (discrepancy with previous minutes which state £300 exc. photocopying was agreed)

Treasurers Report: Maurice reported as follows: Balances: Nationwide £5027.06. Lloyds TSB £2023.77. Cash in hand £35.88. Electricity and water bills of approx. £500 expected and invoice for kitchen imminent.

Priority List:

Windows & Blinds – Windows thought to be approx. £1000 but no quote yet obtained. To be paid for by the Parish Council (Jim Aldridge is managing this until Christmas) Remote controlled black out blinds are an option Kitchen – Offer of second hand fridge from Christine Salt to be turned down with thanks, agreed new fridge to be bought from Comet for £99 inc. delivery – 

30 plates & 30 sets of cutlery to be purchased from Ikea by Anji, some of which she will be donating.

Discussion on the possibility of purchasing a combi-microwave/food heater 

Tables – Bid to Bosworth forum for £1000 was unsuccessful, application to Co-operative Community Fund to be completed 

Rest of priority list to be looked into following completion of the above

Events & Fund Raising:

Fish&Chip Supper: Agreed to run the event in Jan/Feb, date to be decided. £10 a ticket – Church Fete: Agreed to charge £20 to cover electric/heating costs.Housing Drop In Sessions: HBBC to use Heritage room monthly for 6months for 2hr housing drop in sessions – Invoice amount of £84

December Quiz: £2.50 each, festive refreshments to be provided

Correspondence:Letter received from Vicki Heath giving thanks for her gift and confirming that she has made contact with B&Q re: stain, paint etc for redecoration – to phone every few weeks to check availability.

                       Electrical installation certificate received

Any other business:

HBBC Application: Application completed by Julie for up to £700 to offer free exercise classes to the local community for 8weeks–to be taken by Bonnie if successful. Decision announced next month.

Cleaner: Discussion on increasing hours – decision made to stay at 1hr a week

Keys: Hall keys to be given back by Vicki Heath and Jim Aldridge in January

Next meeting: Wednesday 11th January, 3pm in Heritage Room
